About the Ringmaster

Hi! I’m Laura!

I’m a Massage Therapist, Barista, teacher, knitter, former Disneyland CM (yes, that’s ANAHEIM-NOT ORLANDO!)  and a crafter. I have a penchant for Star Wars and geeky things. I also have a knack for getting into things I just can’t make up. Don’t know if it is by chance or just some sort of “Hey! I’m over here!” magnetic pull, but it happens.

Upstate NY is once again my home after a stint in SoCal. I prefer to call the suburb I live in E. Nowhere.

I am a proud  hockey mom to my Monkey, Isaac.

Come stay a while. I promise, you won’t be bored. It’s quite the circus around here, and most days, I think the clowns are running the show.

I just found your site from OhMyStinkingHeck. It’s pretty cool, and I’ll probably be back.

But I wanted to point out that your righthand sidebar is having confidence issues, and is hiding at the bottom of your page.

probably an image too wide for the post column somewhere, as I’ve had the same issue on my site before.

  3. Hey- just found your blog when I searched “why does Sam the Wiggle suck?”– I saw them in Florida before they announced Greg was leaving, but they said he was sick that night so Sam was there.
Then when we moved to Australia last year for my husband’s job we saw them again with Sam in Australia (what is cool is that in Australia they do shows in little theaters with only like 300 people)– but anyway– Sam really can’t sing!
I saw you moved across the country— so we have something in common– except my move was a little further.
    Enjoyed reading your stuff! Thanks.

  4. Hey I am a West Coaster (San Diego CA) stuck in Upstate NY too… I wonder how close to East Boondock I am, LOL?

  5. Holy Cow! I’m from Scotia NY and got transplanted to SF first and now in Seattle! My old roommate used to go into gigglefits when I went thru some of the town names around Scotia… She shouldn’t laugh too loud, they’ve got Puyallup and Emuclaw. :)

  6. Hey, Laura! Where have you been?? Check in with me when you have a chance.

  7. Hi Laura,
My son and your sound soooo similar and I LOVED your post on hidden disabilities. Keep up the great work!!!! It’s great to know I am not alone. =) I also wouldn’t have it any other way!
