In my small town of Lebanon, you might think that there is no fun to be had. However, lots of gems await you, if you know where to look.

Lebanon Gems is going to be an ongoing theme that I write about here on, My Three Ring Circus of a Life. I love this town and think that we have many great things to offer for people of all ages and interests. Today’s post will be featuring Brushstrokes on Canvas, a fun paint and wine establishment.

I was not paid or compensated in any way shape or form for this post.

A painting I created on my first visit.

Brushstrokes on canvas is not your typical, run of the mill paint and wine shop. This locally family owned shop offers more than you might think!. Yes, you can go paint canvas and sip some wine, but what I really love is the wholesome family friendly atmosphere. Owner, John Olivo, always welcomes guests of the studio with a happy and upbeat attitude. The owners and artists of Brushstrokes on Canvas are very welcoming no matter your age or skill. They support the community of Lebanon, with fundraisers, and events (most recently with the Lebanon Humane Society). They have helped raise thousands of dollars for local organizations and charities, and are huge supporters of this community. Did I mention that Brushstrokes on Canvas has an AMAZING rewards system for return customers? Well they do, you start out with getting a paint brush pen, a wine glass, apron, free painting, and gift cards. The rewards become higher the more you visit, you can even get a TV or after a whole lot of visits, be rewarded with a cruise.

Pirate party painting and wine glass painting.

Brush Stokes on Canvas offers more than just painting on a canvas, they have many other artistic options for those who are interested in other things. I myself have been to multiple events and will continue to go to them, I am not a skilled artist in the least, but when I leave with my painting I feel like not only have I learned a little more, but my spirit was lifted a bit higher too. Some of the Painting parties that Brushstrokes on canvas has offered are, children painting parties, pirate painting nights, pottery, Disco night, rock n roll, karaoke, paint your pet, Christmas, and New years parties. There are many more, but that would be a very long list. They have also offered painting on slate, birdhouse painting, wineglass and ornament painting, plant parties, and more! If you want more of a one-on-one experience you can set up a session with one of the artists to work with. Brushstrokes on Canvas even offers a “paint bar,” where you can walk in, and paint what you would like.

I created this horse painting at the paint bar Brushstrokes on Canvas offers.

Since my first time attending a Relay for Life event, I have been hooked on Brushstrokes on Canvas. I may not go as often as I would like, but with school, kids, and everything else in life I sometimes don’t have the time. The pricing is very competitive and lower than franchised paint and wine shops in the area. Brushstrokes on canvas will even travel to you for a private party, if you would like to have on somewhere besides their studio. I have brought both of my children to Brushstrokes on Canvas for kid painting events, and the birdhouse painting. They love being artistic, and it’s a wonderful opportunity when the art programs at schools are slowly being defunded. The artists are great with the kids and help them when needed, but let the children paints without forcing them to paint a certain way. They take the time needed to help the children understand what steps are next and how to mix the paint to get a specific color if it’s a canvas party, and helped with birdhouse tips as well. My kids proudly hang their work on the walls here at the house, and the birdhouses are being displayed on our bookshelf.

I would love to see Brushstrokes on Canvas thrive, but they need the communities support, just as much as they have supported our community. So go visit them, take a look around the studio, go to a painting party, or one of the other fun events they offer. This Lebanon Gem is amazing, and won’t disappoint, visit them today!

  6. What a great place! I love art so much, but I find them a little bit boring when I just come to art class and draw. I hope that my hometown would have something like. It would boost up not only my skills but also the others’. The events and parties are good chances for people to do art, communicate and compete! It sounds good to color the birdhouses and wine glasses; and I’ve never do my arts with the artist standing next to me and guiding me before. A little bit jealous, thou. :( Thanks for sharing such a wonderful experience, anyway!

  7. Crystal Carder says:

I don’t think I could ever draw that good, but paint nights sound like a blast. I love how fun it looks.

    • I am not a painter, but they way the artists take you step by step, make the end project look like you know what your doing. :)
