Guess what I’m up to now?

This year for me has been all about change.

It started by going to Blogalicious 11.

Continued with the whole Gastric Bypass thing.

Now, I’m going to do something that a lot of people think I’m crazy for…

I’m going to run/walk a 1/2 marathon!

Yes, you read that right. A 1/2 marathon.

Specifically the Nike Women’s 1/2 marathon in San Fransisco.

And yes, I’m going to California for it.

Part of being at Blogalicious 11 was learning to be true to myself, authentic to who I am. As part of this, I’ve decided that I’ve been the recipient of some really good things, and I’d love to give some of that back whenever I can. Hence, I’m doing this 1/2 marathon with Team in Training.

I know too many people who have had the awful thing that is called leukemia. Some are still standing to tell the tale, others are not.

I’ll tell the stories as the race gets closer.

But part of the commitment to this is to raise funds to fight this awful thing called leukemia and lymphoma.

Getting to San Fransisco equals raising 3200.00. Yes, you saw that right.

But that’s a drop in the bucket of what we need to make these awful things go away.

I’d love it if you’d consider donating to my “run fund!”

It doesn’t have to be much..any amount will help me get to San Fransisco.

See that widget in my sidebar? That’s my donation button!

Cute and purple-y, isn’t it?

Well, if you click that and donate ANY amount, you’ll be helping me reach my goal!

And there will be photos, fundraisers and even me wearing my hardware.

So, come on…even a dollar or two will help…

and help me be a bit more crazy than I already am.

  1. I just KNOW you will make it to San Francisco. You deserve it and you’re working so hard! I’m proud!
