Monkey has an ear infection!
I CALLED IT!!!
So, let’s discuss the symptoms that scream EAR INFECTION in my Monkey-
1) Fever. The kid never, ever runs a fever.
2) Lethargic. As I’ve always said, my kiddle runs constantly like a motor.
3)CLINGY. Yes, that’s a big one. He’s the “leave me alone to create havoc and mayhem.” type kid
4)he stops eating. Yes, my one small boy trash compactor pretty much stopped eating for a day and change.
Yep, that all means it’s call the doc time.
And we went to Target for his ‘script. He’s on zithromax, because, like his Mami, he’s allergic to ammoxicilin. He got an “antibiotic calendar”, where he sticks a sticker for every dose he takes and when it’s all filled up, he goes in, gives it to the pharmacist and gets to pull out of the surprise box! He’s already asking when we can go get his prize. Ya think he’s ready to be DONE with this antibiotic yet?
Oh, well. Friday it is.
No fun for mom or kiddo! Hope the little guy gets feeling better soon.
I like the sticker idea when he takes his dose. Good to remember. I am on Z-pack usually 2 times a year! This time they gave me ammoxicilin, lol… I wonder if Sean will be allergic to penicillin, like his father is. (I’m not).
