Here I am, sitting in Nora’s family room, using my computer. Yes mom, I can use my computer in other people’s houses. I’ll explain it to you later.
Now, I realize that I’m only 200-ish miles from home and I’m starting to miss things about California.
First, I miss the palm trees. I miss the way that they all kinda look like overgrown toilet brushes before they’re trimmed, and how they look about a quarter past death when the city gets to them.
Second, I miss the drivers. Yes, I complained about them, but they at least know how to change lanes..and know if you get flashed, you may get shot, so you don’t do it.
Third, I miss the cheap, Ethnic food. I miss my Pho at the little shop, where the owner knew my order. I miss being able to get a good bowl of Pho for 4.00 and spring rolls for 2.00. Yummy stuff.
Fourth, I completely miss CBU and resources. I completely miss the jokes, the people, and everything about it. I miss Cora, Pam and everyone that makes that place tick.
BUT, I have to look on the bright side. I’m gaining some things…Nora close, family around and some other stuff..like kurver kreme.
So, I’ll be back in Smallbany on the 12th. Should be fun.
Tomorrow is the fair, fisher price outlet and other stuff. Cool beans!
Isaac is in love with James and Jack…he follows them around like gangbusters and is sleeping with Jack tonight. It’s soo nice to have other kids around him. He misses it too much now that he’s not in day care. So, I love all of the interaction he gets with other kids. It’s so nice to see him playing and happy!

Hi Laura,
You will be back in Smallbany on the 11th or 12th? FYI- I forgot my cell phone at home today.
